Join Laurie at the Neurodiversity Network of WNY annual conference at Cradle Beach! Laurie will speak on “The Art and Science of Sound as Safety: Discovering Resources for Improving Felt Safety & Emotional Regulation in the Therapy Room, Classroom, Home and Beyond.”
You’ll learn how skillful activation and exercise of the auditory pathway can build resilience and regulation in the nervous system. This presentation introduces The Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP), an evidence-based listening therapy. The SSP is designed to shift the nervous system from defense to regulation, allowing clients to feel safe and connect better with others. This, in turn, makes many therapeutic interventions more effective. In learning about how the SSP works during this session, youll also learn about how you can apply the science underneath to everyday life and work. Some practical exercises and suggestions will be included.
